The broad responsibilities of our Logistics Manager - APAC & Africa include the key areas of production planning, distribution management, network optimization, procurement, and strategic sourcing. The ideal candidate possesses some work experience in some or all of these areas, however, you don't need to be an expert!
Initial areas of focus will include
Required to manage and communicate the key performance indicators for logistics activities in Asia Pacific & Africa on routine basis. Also assembly of the regional supply chain scorecard.
INNOVATION & NEW INITIATIVES
Track operation related KPIs for monthly / annual report, drive continously improvement on operational performance.
While having no direct reports, this position is required to lead and influence without authority over the logistics teams within the region. Where necessary, leveraging central and MCBC resources will be necessary, as well as over consulting subject matter experts. As a managing position there would be an expectation to assist in the development of internal talent in the countries to build up their organizations to meet the growing logistical needs, which also includes helping establish a succession plan over time.
