  • Overview

    The broad responsibilities of our Logistics Manager - APAC & Africa include the key areas of production planning, distribution management, network optimization, procurement, and strategic sourcing. The ideal candidate possesses some work experience in some or all of these areas, however, you don't need to be an expert!

    Initial areas of focus will include

    1. Supply planning and distribution governance for imported products over Asia Pacific (excl. India) and Africa
    2. International distribution
    3. Support regional innovations and new initiatives
    4. Regional supply chain scorecard management

     

    Responsibilities

    SUPPLY PLANNING

    1. Forecasting analysis and relationship management with country commercial teams.
    2. Build, manage, and validate production plans for producing breweries.
    3. Oversight and management of material resource plans (MRP) for producing breweries.
    4. Oversight and management of inventories to the appropriate safety stock levels.
    5. Responsibility for overall budget monitoring and tracking associated with logistical activities

    Required to manage and communicate the key performance indicators for logistics activities in Asia Pacific & Africa on routine basis. Also assembly of the regional supply chain scorecard.

     

     

    DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT

    1. Work with the country logistics managers to provide assurance of domestic distribution.
    2. Manage inter-asia and international movements of MC products and supplies.
    3. Manage the relationship with the MC preferred logistics providers in the region.
    4. Responsible for overall freight budget monitoring and tracking.
    5. Required to manage and communicate the key performance indicators for distribution activities in Asia on routine basis.
    6.  Manage credit and collection relationships with MCI customers.

     

    INNOVATION & NEW INITIATIVES

    1. Coordinate with project managers and breweries to set up the master data for new SKUs.
    2. Develop new product supply timetabel and coordinate with country SC and commercial team
    3. Coordiante with customers and commercial teams on graphic development and material preparation

     

    KPI MANAGEMENT

    Track operation related KPIs for monthly / annual report, drive continously improvement on operational performance.

     

     

    PEOPLE

    While having no direct reports, this position is required to lead and influence without authority over the logistics teams within the region. Where necessary, leveraging central and MCBC resources will be necessary, as well as over consulting subject matter experts. As a managing position there would be an expectation to assist in the development of internal talent in the countries to build up their organizations to meet the growing logistical needs, which also includes helping establish a succession plan over time.

    Qualifications

    Education: 

     

    • Required - Degree / Diploma in Business or Logistics Management
    • Preferred Addition - Logistics Management Certification

    Skills & Relevant Work Experience:

     

    • 3-5 years experience in the logisitics industry
    • Experienced in logistics management and financial accumen
    • International exposure, cultural sensitivity
    • At minimum speaks Chinese Mandarin and can fluently speak, read, and write in English
    • Strong influence and communication skills - demonstrated ability to influence with and without authority.
    • Strong leadership qualities to drive performance
    • Demonstrated ability in building productive relationships and working in a team environment

    Preferred Additions to Above Skills & Experience:

     

    • Self starter
    • Experienced working in or with international organizations
    • Demostrated ability to set the agenda and working in a matrix organization
    • Experienced with logistical management within the manufacuring sector
    • Can read and write in Chinese Mandarin (by no means a requirement)
